Complex Analysis is one of the central mathematical disciplines with important applications, in modern area of cryptography, image processing and data compression. The objective of the workshop is to bring together group of experts in Complex Analysis and its Applications to discuss recent progress and open problems in this area and thus foster the interaction and collaboration between researchers in diverse fields. In this workshop not only pure but computational and algorithmic aspects will be emphasized. The workshop will consists of various short sessions (3-4 lectures each) in subjects of particular relevance in modern complex analysis such as:
1. Geometric function theory
2. Planar harmonic mappings
3. Quasiconformal mappings
4. Potential theory.

About the Institute:
Walchand College
of Engineering (WCE), Sangli established in 1947, is
one of the oldest engineering colleges in the state of
Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli has been selected for participation under subcomponent 1.2 of Technical Education Quality Improvement programme (TEQIP) Phase II. The college has performed consistently high in implementation of TEQIP Phase I. Besides teaching various courses to B.Tech, M.Tech students, college has previously organized winter schools, conferences, one day workshop and lectures series. The faculty members are doing research work in Cosmology, Rheology, Fluid mechanics, Complex analysis and they have published their work in reputed journals. Also, college has received research funds for undertaking projects under young scientist scheme of DST, CSIR.

Faculty members/post docs/research students in Engineering and Mathematics departments of University/IIT/NIT/Colleges
About Sangli:
Sangli is district place in Maharashtra with population of
about 5 lakhs and is situated on banks of river
Walchand College of Engineering is located midway between Sangli and Miraj. The city is famous of Shri Ganesh Temple with medieval architecture constructed during period of Peshawas It is an educational hub next to Pune with many engineering, science, medical and law colleges.

Registration fee covers workshop kit, tea/coffee during workshop and daily working lunch and workshop banquet.
Limited funds are likely to be available to deserving participants for Travel expenses (railway fare) and /or gratis in Registration fees to attend the workshop. Information about travel to Sangli will be sent later to the selected participants.
