I, Dr. Vijay Mohale, extend a warm welcome to all students and their parents to the Department of Electrical Engineering at Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli.

Electrical Engineering is one of the foundational and most versatile branches of engineering. Often referred to as the "heart of engineering", it offers evergreen career opportunities in diverse sectors including power systems, automation, electric vehicles, renewable energy, smart grids, and more. Our department takes pride in nurturing industry-ready engineers who not only excel in technical domains but also demonstrate leadership, creativity, and social responsibility.

Established in 1955, the department has a rich legacy of academic excellence and has produced highly skilled graduates who are now contributing significantly in renowned organizations across India and abroad. The strength of our department lies in its highly qualified and experienced faculty, industry-aligned curriculum, modern laboratories, research-driven environment, and strong industry-academia linkages.

In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, we have adopted a flexible, multidisciplinary, and student-centric academic framework.
